Didnt someone on here (maybe John) say they bought a sewer hose support from like lowes or home depot that held up drain pipe and graduated it downward, instead of the sewer hose support from camping wordl and walmart? I went to lowes today and looked for something that could support my hose going from the trailer to the campground sewer connection or aux tank on wheels and could not locate anything that would work. If someone found something that works from lowes or home depot could you tell me where you located it? in what section or what its called? thanks

Kim, it was me! When Donna and I went on our trial camp-out night at Prairie View Campground in Granite Falls, MN (Prairie's Edge Casio)……and btw, rated 10-10-10 by Good Sam, a fellow camper had this slinky sewer hose trough rigged up to his fifth-wheel.
I bought two sets of rain downspout extensions from the rain gutter dept of Menards. They are available in both brown and white color. Each set includes two vinyl troughs, one inside the other that extend from four feet to approx seven feet, to carry rain water away from the house. I converted the two sets (four troughs) into one assembly, capable of extending approx thirteen to fourteen feet. I yet have to attach support wire brackets to the end that originates under the black / gray water outlet.

I believe this is the one you are referring to John, However my lowes and home depot does not carry them, and mennards is not located here. Is the purpose of a sewer line support to keep it off the ground in general or is it to elevate it in a graduated slope to your extra holding tank or perm dump outlet….if the sewer hose has to rise at the very end to hook up to a thetford or barker holding tank how would these downspout extensions be supported if you had to run them 20 feet?

Lynne, I slip my enmeshed assembly in an old folding chair bag and store it within the outside/basement storage compartment of our 14RK.

Kim, it's for the graduated slope to the permanent dump pipe. 20 feet seems a bit too far to run them. I plan to use wood blocks, strategically placed under the extended troughs for support out to a max of 13 to 14 feet with my present of two sets of two each enmeshed assembly = a four trough assembly. Kim, where did you locate picture of rain extenders? What are they really called?
