I just spent a week in this state park in the northern part of TX. It was a great park with beautiful vistas (unfortunately not in the rv section, but some of the tent campgrounds had fantastic views), hiking, wildlife (mule deer and bison were on my spotted list) and some good programs put on while I was there.
The RV loop has 30 amp and water, fire ring and shaded/sheltered picnic table. The spaces were good size – across the way from me was what had to be a 40' Class A motorhome. The bathrooms were on the main road with sidewalk access into the RV loop. There was also a playground near by.
And if that isn't enough to entice you, Turkey, TX – home of Bob Wills – is 13 miles away!!!
I actually liked this park more than Palo Duro Canyon State Park which is about 70 miles away.
