My husband & I have taken our new 14RB out 3 times since Nov. of 2011 & have thoroughly enjoyed each time!  I highly recommend the 2 camping areas we stayed in.

Cagle Recreation Area is a part of the National Park System & is located about 45 minutes north of Houston just outside New Waverly, TX.  The park is on the north end of Lake Conroe, has lots of trees,  the sites are spread out, & there are nice hiking trails.  Each spot had a trailer site as well as a pad for a tent.   Free stacked firewood is available for the taking.  We rode our bikes on the nicely paved roads.  Restrooms are clean, too!

Lake Livingston State Park is also located about an hour-and-a-half north of Houston near Coldspring, TX.  It, too, has lots of trees & nice hiking trails.  In some instrances the sites are spread out; in other cases sites are much closer together.  Currently there are many downed trees throughout the park; the TX drought this past summer killed many of them.  One of the host men approached us the afternoon before we left & told us we were welcomed to use the firewood to build fires in the designated fire rings.  Also clean restrooms.

I highly recomment these parks.

Does the Cagle area have hookups?  Livingston is on my list of places to camp.  I just usually head west from Houston.
