Just put down a deposit on a 16FKTH that is scheduled to be built April 18th.  We'll be parting ways with our 1998 Palomino hard side pop-up.  The PUP served us well for the short time we have had it, but ever since I say the 14FKTH at the RV Supershow in Dallas I've wanted to get one.

Too bad they discontinued it, according to the KZ rep I spoke too, it was too short for golf carts and some atv's.  Going with the 16' means switching to a class III hitch so I can get a weight distributing hitch and sway controller for my Ford Escape.  But I think it will be worth it.  The mini toy haulers are pretty scarce in my area, the Houston KZ dealer doesn't want to stock them, so I took my business 200 miles south to Corpus Christi.

We'll be putting to use right away as we will book a spot at the Corpus KOA so we can give it a good shake down.

Well, it's been built   Now it's just sitting there at the factory until May6th…when it ships

In hindsight, I could have gone through my local dealer (10 minutes from my house), since they told me about 8 weeks to get one on their lot.  I thought I'd get it a little sooner since this one was already in the pipe to be built…..oh well…

Knowing it's sitting there, and the fact that we already sold out pop-up, makes it all the worse for waiting.
