We will pick up our new KZ Sportsmen Classic 16bh this Monday.  I cannot wait.  Our first trip will be with friends to the Texas State Park at Galveston.  Will keep everone updated on the our joys of TT camping.

Hello thomascampers:

It's been a month an I am wondering how your trip went. I have ordered the Classic 14RB but won't take delivery till spring. Other trips and plans already in the making and won't need the trailer till then. Would love to hear how the Texas State Park was … I have friends in Beaumont, TX and will be heading that way in the near future. Any tips would be appreciated.

Happy Camping

Karsty

Texas has a great parks system.  Galveston State Park is a pretty nice one.  I would have gone there for my shakedown if I didn't think the dogs would manage to bring half the beach into the trailer.

The park was quite nice.  It is still being repaired from Hurricane Ike and they are proposing more upgrades at the presant time.  We had water and electric and got all the hook ups done right.  We were abe to pack up and disconnect everything sucessfully.  The dump at the end went ok.  So, for our very first outing in an rv went swimmingly well in Galveston.  You would enjoy it.

The beach was almost deserted.  We walked over the sand dune at the appropriate place and were immediately on the beach.  There was a lot of seaweed but that is better than oil and stuff.  The water is muddy due to the nearness of the Mississippi River but the breakers were great!

I can hardily recommend Texas State Parks as wonderful places to camp.
