Hello from Indianapolis. Bought a 2011 19bh last month, in fact just made the first payment this week. hooray. Upgraded from a 08 rockwood pop-up, lovin the switch. I can walk in and lay somthin on the bed or in the closet or the fridge and go. So wondefull, less setup time, more relax time. bout the same space as our popup but easier to maintenance i think. did a test run to southern indiana and seems good to go. put in a bypaas for the water heater and the winterizing kit. did find some issues with the roof caulk in some spots, dealer gave me some dycor lap sealant. seams to work good very sticky. lol. co/propane detector has a high pitch squeal to it, took it to dealer, thats a whole nother story. rrrrrrr maybe im just picky i don't know. anyways hi and bye. Dustin oh yea goin with my brother to turkey run state park (eastern indiana) on the 19th. come on summer

It's not just you that has issue with the high pitch squeel with the propane/CO detector! Drives me nuts! I'm sure I'll get some "no-no's" from some for doing this, but after I make sure that the tank is turned off, I tend to take out the fuse just to turn the dumb thing off! (Yes, I do put it back in when the tank is turned on.) Has anyone else had experience with this squeel issue? Please post what you find out from the dealer about the noise — is it a defect, or 'just the way it is'?

To clarify, it's not an alarm type noise going off, it's a very high pitched squeal — maybe like old computer monitors? Hard to describe. It's also possible it's one of those things that not everyone can hear — it's that high. The light does stay on, as appropriate, and otherwise seems to be functioning normally. This is on my list to clarify with the dealer.

i heard the squeal but the parts guy couldn't hear it. He didn't seem like he cared, so i don't know. they sent off for a new one and i picked it up the other day. seemed fishy, since most things come in a box, date was the same on the back of the unit, almost like i got the same one back, ya know. wasn't pleased, since it has a to do with the safety of my family, sorry but i become a little picky when it comes to that. sometimes anal, ask my wife. lol. i haven't messed with it since leaving the dealer, when i hooked it to a battery there, i still heard the squeal. so i don't know. Other than that i love this camper, super light. Used my daughters little tv and the thing gets awsome reception. will prob invest in a little tv to keep in it, will be good for watchin for weather…wink wink. Again caint wait for summer!

I haven't heard any squeal coming from mine and it doesn't seem to bother the 2 dogs either. I hope you get it figured out.
And welcome to the forums!

To answer your question (not in triplicate ), it seems to be contstant, and occurs when it's hooked up to the shoreline. I'm not sure if it occurs when hooked up to the towing vehicle or not…
Update:
Today I disconnected the shoreline, and the squeal is still present. So we can (I think) rule out the shoreline power and the towing vehicle as potential causes. I also confirmed that the green light is on, and when pushed the "test" button does make an even more annoying noise. Maybe the squeal is just the way it is?

Mine also squealed too, very high pitch annoying and when hooked up to shore power. Never did really know for sure what specifically it was.
