I'm very interested in some feedback on the 16 FKTH. I will be full timing in it for the winter along the southern states as I refuse to spend another winter here on the tip of L I.

I will be carrying a 450lb. bike [Triumph Bonnie] , my tow vehicle is an '03 Ford F150 Supercrew 4X4

4.6L V-8, stock class III hitch. Is my truck enough for this box, will I need mirror extentions?

I've only towed utility/motorcycle trailers in the past. I'd like to finally be able to have a secure place for my ride and also someplace to sleep besides inside the truck when I pull into a Flying J.

I'm hoping this model is the answer, as I'm retired — fixed income and all that.

Maybe some opinions on the reliability of things — refrig/toilet/ etc.

                                                                                                    Thanks

Nice photo of Monument Valley, did you take it?

I think you have plenty of truck for the trailer you're looking at.  Some of us are towing with much less.  Mirrors may well be ok, the truck is pretty wide already.

As for reliability of inner components, they are the same ones used in many, many other trailers.  They mostly work great, with occasional exceptions… just like anything mechanical.

A fixed income is an opportunity for creatively economical living.  Smile  Hope you have fun.

You will most likely need towing mirrors.  I have a 2002 F-150 Super Crew and they were a bear to find for that particular model so good luck finding them, although the 03 may be easier to find.  I got some that slip over the existing mirrors so I have both to use.

We have a Bonnie too! I previously towed with my 07 Xterra. I found adding stick on 3 inch spotter mirrors to the outside edge of the stock mirrors was sufficient. Also For yhe bike, check out kyyriekn (sp) sells a chock for the front wheel that requires no bolts in the floor.
