Hello All,
We just purchased a Escape Spree 19BH. Name here is Robert and Cathy Crosby. We live in Waxahachie, Texas.
The trailer is out back on the property. No trips as of yet. Trying to figure out how to get the trailer level with the Reese WDH. Dealer installed the hitch but with the light weight and the TV being a 2010 Jeep Liberty I am having issues with the hitch height. So I am going to do the over-under switch on the axle. I contacted Southwestern Wheel and Trailer and they are calling Becky at AL-KO to get the kit ordered. By raising the height of the trailer I think this will solve my problems with the driveway and the TV hitch height. Nice website and enjoy reading all of the posts. Now to figure out the front bed storage access.
Best,
Robert & Cathy

I was told by a factory rep that doing to the flip would invalidate my warranty so I waited to do it on my 16BH. The warranty is now up but I haven't considered it too seriously. My problem is dragging the tongue jack but have no problem riding level with my F-150. I do have a 3.5″ drop on my ball from the receiver.

Welcome.
I tow our 19SB with a WD / Sway EZ on a F150. Have pulled it around 5K miles since purchased in June and really haven't had any clearance issues so far.
What do you mean, "Now to figure out the front bed storage access." ?

Thanks for the welcome and replies.
Understood on the warranty. Not really an issue to me.
I have the drop on the shank but the Liberty is somewhat tall with the two inch rise and larger tires.
I love the advice too. Always helps to have other input.
As far as the front bed's storage area there is only one access door on the outside (street). On the curb side of the trailer one awning bracket covers that area of the trailer.
The front bed has one lid on the right side of the platform. Lot's of storage for us but wanted to make it easier to access from the inside. My idea for right now is to shore up the support underneath by beefing up the frame work and then using a better sheet of plywood and having a lid that goes all the way across the bed's side to side dimension. I want to utilize gas shocks to hold the bed up while open and a longer piano hinge on the backside.
It is good to meet all of you and I look forward to your thoughts and comments.

That sounds like a great mod. And anyway to get more storage out of our little trailers is a good thing. I want to create better access to the one area under the bench where we have the most underutilized storage and I'm also thinking about trying to access the outside storage area on my 16BH from under the bunk as well. That corner is so hard to get to from the outside.

Under bed access.
I know it can be difficult to access the storage area under the bed from inside. It's even worst for us since we upgraded the mattress. It's now, almost impossible for the wife to lift the lid. We use about 80% of the cargo space for storage of auxiliary outside / setup stuff, but wanted to access the remaining 20% for extra inside storage so I put an access door as shown here. Pretty easy to cut w/a box cutter, trim out and latch. Meets our needs.
You can see some of the other mods I made under Modifications @

Enjoy!
