Hey folks,

I purchased a 14RB in October and took my first trip last weekend to a State Park near San Antonio.  The trailer puilled very well behind my Ford F-150, and it was a really great first extended weekend with it!

Everything worked well, and a small space heater made it really cozy inside when the temps fell to around 40.

The antenna provided a strong signal to area tv stations, and the water heater did a great job of providing hot water.

I already have plans to visit another State Park in a few weeks!

Since it my first trailer, I'm still learning how to get the most out of my new second home and what to have on hand, and I definitely plan to make a checklist of things to do when arriving and departing.  But if the first experience is any indication, I will definitely be enjoying many future outings.

Can't wait to share and read aout other experiences!

Smile so glad you are enjoying your 14RB.  We are first time camper owners also but haven't had an opportunity to take ours on a trip yet.  We are thinking about taking a local weekend trip so that if we have forgotten anything, we will be close to home.  We are also planning a weekl ong trip at Christmas time so I will post and let ya'll know how that goes.  Let me know if you come up with any storage ideas, etc.

Glad to hear you both are enjoying your new campers and am jealous of you southerners.  For all of us here up north, best I can do is dream of spring and plan what I am going to put in what cabinet.  Coming up from a Teardrop camper, this seems soooo roomy, with gobs of storage.  For me I find compartmentalizing certain things, help with the organization.  Bought a bin for various larger items and will use in the long outside storage bin, so everything isn't rolling around.  Just make sure you do some rough measurements.  I wanted to do cangoods under the cooktop area.  No shelves and no drawers.  So I brainstormed and found these really cool brush silver color wire mesh sliding thin drawers units in the kitchen area at Walmart.  Bought 2, as they stack together and used dowel rods as spacers and extender inside of the legs (to give me just a bit more height).  Now have 2 very nice working drawers which just sit inside that taller cabinet and can be anchored in place with a tab and screw on the legs.  This way no shifting cans out on your head by storing them up top.  Also bought a long skinny white container to hold dish soap, brillo pads, Pam, big spray, etc and fits nicely behind the water hoses under the sink.  Plan to install a drop screen DVD/CD/TV unit in front left corner, under cabinets.  Let us know if you find any cool ideas for storage or even set up or teardown which work well for you.  Enjoy your winter camping……I will be snowblowing.
