Has anyone "lifted" their trailer?  I wouldn't mind having a little more ground clearance. Also, the wheel on the door side of my trailer isn't quite centered in its wheel well. I'm not sure how important this is as the trailer seems to tow OK and the tire wear is even, although the tire has dented the wheel well towards the back side where it has hit against it on some hard bumps.

(Just found that there is already a thread on this topic under "repairs and maintenance.")

Yes I have, started the thread last month after finding tire rubber on the inside of the wheel wells and having crushed the end of the jack on my 19BH because of low clearance.

Not easy but definately worth the time and effort to do.

Thanks for your feedback on the axle lift, I will call my local KZ dealer and see if they will do this for me.

How did it turn out?

My KZ dealer quoted me $250.00 to flip the axle.  Is that the same as yours did?

That sounds about the right cost. I did mine myself for less than $20.00 partially due to the fact that I'm a 3rd generation steel worker, my grandfather was a steel worker and machinist, my father works heavy steel fabrication, and I did 3 years working in heavy steel fabrication in the same shop my father worked in for the last 30+ years.

The spring seats cost $10 from Tractor Supply Center, a spare spring bolt was $5.00 from a local shop that specializes in trailers and truck caps. I had the welder, welding rod, and air tools already at home, and a couple hours of time.

Now if you figure approximately, the dealer charges $20 per side plus $50 per hour with 2 guys and 2 hours of work, that would be $240 so $250 sounds right.
