Has anyone installed a battery cut off switch yet? I will either install one (i simply hate electricity monkey business ) myself,if I can understand how, or I will just unhook the positive cable from the battery when the trailer is "resting" at home. I really dont want the battery to drain, its not a good thing.

I haven't as I usually look at my trailer 2 to 3 times a week, and plug in about once a week.
They do sell a disconnect, I would recommend the one made for GM Side Terminals, Stagg Parkway Part number 55-9030. You can mount this on the screw terminal of the positive, then attach the postitve lead of the trailer to the other side of the switch. Nice part is it mounts with the blade switch mounted sideways so no chance of it accidentally dropping back on the treminals when the battery cover is placed back on top of the battery box. Plus it's relatively low profile, so you don't have to worry about clearing the battery box cover when closed.

In the event that there might be something draining current, it will prevent the battery from running down. But I think such drains are usually some wiring problem, which we should not see on such new trailers. Although a fan or light left on by mistake could do it too.

Actually the light being left on is one way but I have gone through this issue a couple of times myself with having the trailer, stored at a storage lot, and no way to keep charged in between trips. Through another forum I found out this happens due to a couple of different things which continue to pull from the battery during storage. The carbon monoxide monitor, smoke detectors and also the clock in the microwave. With the handy switch which you mount to the outside of the battery box, just switch it off when you leave the trailer and no power being pulled from the battery. Turn back on when you hook up for your next trip, and the battery gets charged during the drive.
