Hi all. Just returned from our 1st trip of the summer. After messing the the water heater, I thought to myself that there has to be an easier way to light the pilot. Does anyone know of a switch that can be installed to turn on the pilot? My old knees have a hard time taking the abuse of sitting for so long trying to provide hot water for everyone. Thanks

I installed an electric hot rod in mine where the drain plug was and never have to use the propane. I have never ran out of hot water either!!

Decon,
Where did you get the electric hoy rod for the water heater? Was it hard to install where did you wire it in?

Camco makes a 1,500-watt screw-in element that's available on Amazon for $8.13.
