How many of us have lamented the quality of foam that KZ used in our RV's. This is just one area that most all of us have felt that they could have kicked it up a notch. I went on line today and did some research on the cost of replacing the foam in our booth seating. http://www.foamorder.com/updatecart.php
As you can see, it is VERY expensive. %588.25 with shipping. I guess I will just live with what I have for now. I had no idea that the foam would cost so much. Is there anyone out there who has dealt with this issue in a more cost effective way?

Hi Jack, I recenly replaced the front dinnette cushions and the memory foam I had on top of them for a sfter bed with a regular double mattress. The cushions were compressing etc. We always keep the front dinnette in the "bed" position.
On another note…Was wondering about the axle flip? I have searched the forum and so far only found good results from doing the axle spring flip for more ground clearance. Do you know of any negative results? Thx, Cat

I just bought replacement foam for my dinette cushions. It's called Superfoam, and it's a night and day difference. The new foam is very supportive and when lying down it 'gives' very little (but I have a memory foam topper to help with that). The 4 cushions cost me $264 including tax at Oklahoma Upholstery Supply in Tulsa. Here is their website showing the Superfoam prices:

They custom-cut the pieces in about 10 minutes while I waited. Of course, I have no idea what they charge for shipping, but I bet they can squeeze the stuff down quite a bit.
I might eventually do the 'sofa' seat cushion too, but it's not as high a priority as the stuff I sleep on. However, the sofa's back cushion is better as a soft one anyhow. In fact, come to think of it, a person could just do the 2 dinette seat cushions and then make sure the back cushions are always at the foot of the bed where they don't matter much… now why didn't I think of that earlier? I could have saved about $90! Oh well.
