Hello all.

Just purchased a Spree Escape 16BH and am really excited to get it, probably 6 weeks from now.

This site is extemely helpful and I look forward to contributing in the future.

Our use of the trailer will be about 80% primitive camping and therefore I have a couple of questions for those of you that use generators.

1.  Do you think that a Coleman 1850 Pulse will run the microwave OK?  I have one of those, but it is a little noisey.

2. How do you transport the generator?  I didn't check this out at the dealership, but would a small generator ride / fit in the outside storage box?

3. I may buy a new Honda 2000, do any of you have one of those, and how does it work for you?

Thanks for any thoughts and comments.

I don't have a generator but I'm not sure even if it fit, I would want to put that weight behind the axle.  A Honda 2000 weighs about 50 pounds, so it may not cause too many problems.  But you don't want to lighten the tongue weight too much.  But of course, I think most of our tongue weights may exceed the 12-15% with the battery and propane, especially if we carry any water in the 16BH.

Besides, my outside storage is full of chocks, levelers, water hose in a basket, sewer hose in a clear plastic container, roll-up table and occasionally some camp chairs (although those are usually in the pickup bed).

I may eventually get a generator and it would definitely ride in the truck bed.  I do have a tonneau on my pickup.
