I have a 14RB and could not sleep on those foam cushions either! I bought a Futon mattress from Walmart. It has inner coils just like a regular mattress for a bed.  Way more comfortable now! It is short by about 4 inches, but it's nothing you really notice. Of course, we have to leave the bed up all the time, but it's worth it.

Also, I put an over the door full length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door. It fits just perfectly and does not affect opening the door all the way. We lay it on the bed when traveling. I hung a few over the door hooks too, one inside for hanging bathtowels and two on the outside for kitchen towels etc.
