My storage covers appear to be made of particle board. They leave splinters in the foam cushion covers each time they're moved. Anyone else have this problem? Initially I was thinking of covering them with clear plastic. But the foam cushions would probably slide. Now I'm thinking of placing a layer of that foam type shelf liner over the the tops. Anyone have a solution? thanks

That non-skid shelf liner material? That stuff is ideal. The only other thing that comes to mind is replacing the waferboards with solid wood boards.

Yes, that's the stuff. I purchased a large roll and will try it on one tomorrow.

Painting the waferboard might stop the splinters.

Another random thought – paint-on pickup bed liner material? It'd definitely help the "scootching" effect of the cushions. Hopefully it would be more rubberized than scratchy, if that makes sense.

My latest thought is to buy some canvas fabric by the yard and covering them using a staple gun. Should be inexpensive as well as quick and easy.
