I made this plywood ramp to replace one like I had used for my popup trailer and the several times I've camped in my Sportsmen. My old one was getting chiped up on the tip and was a bit narrow. I blunted the tips on the new one to hopefully last more than three years. I find it less time consuming tan other methods of leveling. I tap in a wheel chock once level and have never had it slip.
I back up a little at a time setting the parking brake at each peek of the level. I havent backed off yet. A couple of times I wasn't high enough and had to shim up the ramp with extra peices of wood I bring along. This new ramp is slightly taller than the last. Once the site was a bit muddy and the ramp wanted to slide backward.
