I am adding 2″ "railing", trim to top of window valences, to hold glasses, cell phones, book lights, and so on. (Very light items) Also replacing closet hanger with shelving for clothes. Using plastic Walmart type bins in the overhead cabinets to seperate even my clothes- one for socks and underwear, one for shirts, etc. (wife gets all but rear overhead–plenty for me). Magazine type holders on the ends of cabinets over table. I am designing and building as Outdoor Kitchen box that will close and will hold almost all we need to cook and pepare meals outside. This will more than likely set up on a 4' folding table next to the outside 110v recepticle. I did cut about 10 inches off the table to allow easier access to seats and to make up and down at bedtime easier for wife to handle. I took length off table rear to save edging trim, moved the hardware to new location, and added an extra length of support for the relocated table piece to rest on where the cutout was on the table for bed.

Funny how you mentioned about taking off 10″ off the back edge of the table. We just got done asking the dealer to do this very same thing but only about 3″ for better access. A real design flaw…hopefully the dealer is going to send this into KZ as a suggestion for the 2011 models. Is it possible for you to post pictures of your table mod with the extra support and what it now looks like shortened by 10″ and where you placed the brackets etc. Anything that would show the new look and how it works. I may have the dealer take off more inches than 3.
I also plan a magazine rack at the end of the counter and we found a neat metal silver mesh stacking drawer at Walmarts in the kitchen section. Got 2 and stacked together, but added wooden dowels in the legs to get about 1.5″ more clearance between the 2 drawers. Plan to use for can goods. Now all one unit which just places in the cabinet beneath the cooktop and has anchors to secure it in place at 2 of the legs. Very easy and no installation of drawer slides etc. Very cool.
Love the idea of the little nick nack shelves above the valences.

Any more information on these modifications. The shortened table mod interests me. I will be travelling alone and don't need that much room. Pictures would be nice as well.

We were talking about doing something like the table mod last night as I struggled to get out from the cut out area and my trunk has way too much junk. It's harder to get out than get in. But we are talking about building our own table and keep the original in case we sell the trailer some day.
