The take-apart bench has also worked out great as an outdoors coffee table.

Fulltiming in the 14RB?  You must have all sorts of tips and tricks to share yourself, please post some for us.

Been full time RVer for 18 years now.  Started out in 16' TT for 8 years, went to 33 ' fifth wheel for 2 years, then to 30 ' class C for 3 months, the to 36' class A for 7 years.  Been in the 14RB since Jan. this year, down sized to get ready for retirement.  So far all has been good, just trying to make a little more user freindly.  The 1 thing I have always done was to buy new units each time I switched.  Not a big fan of getting somebodys elses problems.  I live in Florida so the only gripe so far is that on real hot days the 5000 BTU AC has a hard time keeping it real cool.  Works hard to keep it  78 degrees.  And the fridge works alot better if you keep the cabinet door under the sink open and let the hot air escape out of that area.  I live in a RV park, so I am hooked up to water and sewer and elec. all time. I have always had a RV water softner, and I installed a elec. hot stick in the water heater to cut down on propane useage.  No more cold than we have, I usually get by on less than a 30 lb.(upgraded from 20 lb.) tank of propane a year to heat. I don't cook on the stove (just use grill outside) so hence the low propane useage.  Just me and my Min Pin (minature pincher) so size is about right. I am really looking at the 14TH toy hauler, as I only own a Motorcycle and it would be nice to be able to park it inside in the rainy season we have each year for about 3 months, but we'll see, been thinking about getting a portable cycle garage.  Everybody be safe and enjoy your RVin,   DECON  Cool

Smokedummy,

Do you have the measurements for your take-apart bench?  I would like to copy it for my 16RBT.

I will check to see if I still have the drawing I used to make it, or at least I can take some measurements and let you know.

I took some photos of the parts and a tape measure so you can see what I did.  Of course you'll want to adjust for the length/height/width you need for your travel trailer.  Made from 1/2″ plywood.  Happy cutting, and happy camping!
