I pickup my 16BH this weekend, so I don't have it yet to work with. I do love to cook and would like to put my spices in something easily accessible (not in one of the cabinets), but is still secure. Has anyone had to deal with this yet?

That is definately on my things to do. I want a spice rack also that I can reach for instead of keeping them put away in a small rubbermaid container under the sink. But I havent found the rack yet. I would like something I can velcro to the countertop , that holds 5 or 6 spices.Keep us posted on what you find.

Kim,

I google'd and found some small (made for RV that hold 5-6 bottles) wire and wood spice racks that attach to the inside of a cabinet door. Technically you don't have to mount them to a door and can mount them against any wall. The problem there is it needs a back to work. I keep looking and found these ones …

12 bottle magnetic rack

6 bottle magnetic rack
http://www.cooking.com/product…..SKU=303568

If the magnet is weak I think a good bump on the road will send the bottles every which way tho.

I'll keep looking, but think I might have to make it myself to get what I want.

I'm looking for something that I can mount on the wall (either near the window or against the cabinet to the left of the stove. I need the spices to be secure but be able to take them out with it being a production to get at them. I want it all!

We definitely want one that will not scatter our spice jars while on our journey

Perhaps, aided with the use of rubber bands to help hold tins / jars in place; and, I like the $8 price, too.

If you're still looking, we have a 6 jar spice rack we found at Ikea. With several long days on the road nothing's ever fallen out.

And while I'm on the subject, Ikea has been one of my favorite places to find space saving storage stuff. I'll get some pictures from our TT and put them in a separate post. But for now, here are links to a few of my favs:

The "Kroken" system with a paper towel holder that hooks onto a rail/bar. The hooks are handy to hang car keys or a lighter by the stove. I hang a kitchen towel on the 23 1/2″ rail and there's still room for the paper towel holder and hooks. I have another bar in the bathroom behind the toilet to hold bath towels and a broom (on one of the hooks). The flat bar only sticks out about an inch so everything on it stays put. The broom has never fallen off while we're en route. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/sear…..ery=KROKEN

Wall organizer: We have his and hers organizers mounted between the windows adjacent from the sink/stove area. They're perfect for maps, magazines, reading glasses, cell phones and even the TV remote. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/cata…..s/10129960

Corner trash can: This fits perfectly in the bathroom of the 14RB next to the toilet by the wall http://www.ikea.com/us/en/cata…..s/00153875

Storage boxes: These fabric boxes are great for storing groceries and small stuff in make-shift "drawers" and they fit perfectly within the dimensions of the cabinets so nothing slides around. http://www.ikea.com/us/en/cata…..s/90122587

I hope this doesn't look like an Ikea commercial … they cater to apartment/condo dwelling folks and their stuff works surprisingly well in an RV. I'll post some pics soon.

Happy camping!

Thanks! That looks perfect and I forgot to consider buying stuff at Ikea for it. I've got all kinds of cheap stuff from there that's actually lasted a long time in my regular kitchen.
