literally. I hooked up to the site water this afternoon at a state park in MS. Turned the water on, heard a funny noise and noticed water dripping out of the front corner of the trailer – NOT GOOD!!!!
Turned the water off and rushed inside (after finding the keys I dropped – sheesh!) and there was water dripping around the t-connection from the water into the hot water heater. I have white mesh-reinforced tubing from the city water and from the water pump to a tee with blue pex-a pipe going into the hot water heater and the other side of the tee going to the rest of the trailer as cold water. I don't know if it's a tubing connector/clamp worked loose or the hexnut fitting into the hot water heater. And since I don't have a surfeit of tools, I didn't mess with it – will wait until I get home tomorrow night.
I normally use a flow restrictor type of pressure regulator along with a charcoal filter in front of my water hose and I had those on. I've been camping all week and don't think I had any problems at the 3 other parks I've been to since last Friday.
At least the campground has a nice clean bath house around the curve and about 4 sites down from me.
I'll report back with diagnosis and solution (hoping it's not a trip to the dealer, I'm now out of warranty). Also, I need to figure out if I need to do any more mitigation or if I caught it soon enough that I won't have resulting water damage later. I have the bench lid on that side lifted up letting it air out as much as possible after wiping up all the water I could find, but I think some may be trapped under the fresh water tank (which I can't use because it's upstream of the leak as well). There was also water that seeped along the front seam between the wall and floor, I hope I got that all up as well.
