I have a 12 volt deep cycle marine battery on mine – came with it.  I will have to check out what brand/amperage and get back with you if no one else posts before I do.

My 16bh came with a group 24 battery which serves me just fine. All my lights have been changed to LED so I can use them all I want with no consequence. The furnace uses a lot of juice so cold weather camping will drain a battery in a few days depending on its capacity. A group 27 will have more capacity. Dry campers (boon-docking) will often pair up 6V golf cart batteries wired in series or two 12V wired in parallel. Choose a battery(s) with the most reserve capacity.

I have to agree with Julie. Seems rather unusual that your trailer didn't come with a battery. I'm assuming that the trailer has electric brakes and the emergency trailer brakes breakaway cable needs the 12V power source to work … as I understand.

I agree that it should have come with a battery. I showed up to pick up the camper and they told me that the battery was extra which is not true. The sales guy at my dealership was a little jerk and took off so that he wouldnt have to deal with me. The supervisor acted non-professional, also and treated me and my wife very disrespectful. If it wasnt for the fact that I had a trip planned and was relying on this camper I would have walked away from the deal. If you are in the mid-west I would not do business with Vacationland in Big Rock, IL. Worst buying experience I have ever had in my life. Constant lies and they mistreat you as soon as they get the chance.

As a business owner I know the importance of good customer relations and repeat business. It amazes me that they would lose that over the price of a battery.

When we purchased ours, the battery was an add-on, and they gave us a choice of three. At least they were up front about it, but it still seems ridiculous to list the TT price without the battery/case.

I've never bought a car and not had the battery included. The TT without the battery is probably illegal to operate, so it seems to me that offering it that way would violate some sort of implicit warrantee of fitness for use.

Still ticked me off.

My invoice specifically states that a battery & box were to be included in the final price. Can you find some documentation in your case?

1 disgruntled customer does not usually go quietly away. I would make sure everyone knows of it if I got a raw deal. Facebook it, tell anyone you think may be in the market, current owners, etc. They may have their own Facebook page as well. You should warn potential buyers.

Just a sure case of the "five…..fifty principle", five disgruntled customers each tell nine others, therefore: 5 x 10 = 50 potential customers that are gun shy of doing business with ya.Frown
