Two weeks ago we drove 140 miles round trip to our dealer with similar symptoms to todays problem.
FIX: White wire in GFCI (main) was very loose…….tech. tightened screw…….tested GFCI circuit with load for two hours. GFCI failed to trip, as previous.
TODAY'S FACTS:
Using same 14 AWG 50-foot extension cord off outside 120 VAC 15 Amp GFI outlet to 14RK's 10 AWG/with adapter.
No load placed on trailer's GFCI and its 3 each dedicated outlets.
Running Air Cond. off its 20 Amp outlet in wardrobe/closet; the TV and DVD Player off the 15 Amp outlet in overhead cabinet (normally used by factory microwave); and, running 4.6 cu.ft. refrigerator off its 15 Amp outlet.
GFCI continues to trip, intermittently.
Might I have a bad GFI at the house outlet or could the 14 AWG extension cord be the problem? Perhaps, the TT GFCI unit has been bad all along. Owner's manual (white cover) warns of using less than 10 AWG extension cord with the 30 Amp/10 AWG trailer extension cord wiring.
