I have a 2011 19SB with propane water heater. I've tried lighting it a couple times and it won't even sputter trying to light. I lit the stove to be sure gas was moving and then tried the heater again, no luck. It seems really upfront as far as lighting. I turned on the hot water tap at the sink and let it run to get rid of air. Turn on gas, turn knob to pilot and depress, and light. No luck. Any suggestions?

For some reason I have a heck of a time lighting mine as well but it does finally light…im thinking it just takes a long time to light it being so far from the tank. I just sit there holding down the button and wait wait wait..finally I get an ignition.

PS..im seriously thinkiing of getting one of those electric instant hot water thingys..so I dont have to mess with the sound of the water heater heating and using so much propane. But thats if I keep my 14rk…Im looking at the kz sprortsman S241RKS for an upgrade now that I have a truck that can pull it.

I found I was sticking the lighter flame way to far back in the ignition chamber. Now that I put it in no more than 1/2 inch or so, the pilot lights pretty quickly. It still takes a few seconds for the thermocouple to come up to temperature before you can switch to on, but I have very little trouble lighting it now.
