Well…other than trying to make through the winter duldrums, there's not too much to report! Thinking of spring camping plans. Also scoping out a REAL mattress instead of making due with air mattresses. Trying to decide between all foam or innerspring.
If nothing else, at least this site isn't being over-run by spam like the kzowners forum! Maybe the traffic will pick up in the spring?

In Bend Oregon the weather has been rather nice lately considering what the East coast is getting. Started getting a little ambition and doing tweaking on the 14RB getting it ready for some spring or summer travels. Want to go to Texas and Florida to visit my cousin and sister. Not becoming any younger and its time. Put a mount and small TV under the cabinet and made the bed permanent with double memory foam matresses on top of the dinette cushions. Should be comfy. To compensate I have a collapsible table that can go in front of the sofa but slide under the bed when not needed. Took out the bath door and hung a rod with a black out curtain instead so now my knees have room. Also put in a toilet roll holder along with a couple of towel bars. Going to add a bath surround as the weather stays warmer and see if I can get an extender rod for the top if I can figure out a wall mount for it or else stay with what I have.. My 2011 has a rounded wall on top in the rear so it may or not be possible. Put a new clock in over the bed, hung a key holder and also added a paper towel holder under the cabinet. Added new rug runner and door rug along with a spring held step cover. Also put in two new keyed alike cam locks on the outside storage for more security and put in a second drain cock so I don't have to take the bed apart to empty the water tank. My nephew welds so he will be putting on a setup where I can have two propane tanks and also carry two batteries. I think an electric jack would set it off nicely. Anyway spring is definitly in the air and projects are beckoning.

Still no activity here. I guess since I'm a fulltime RVer I just thought more folks would be talking it up to pass the time.

I did bout the same with my bed, and bathroom mods. did not remove door though. I just replaced the 20lb. tank with a 30lb. for the propane, but living in florida I cook out on grill all time and use elec. for my hot water by the hot stick in installed in heater tank. And no need for furnace so I use almost no propane at all. In the 2 years I've lived in the 14RB i have only topped off the 30lb. tank once. Now the AC is another story, I replaced the 5000 unit for a 7500 and had to fab new cabinet for the AC as you have to disassemble cabinet to remove the AC (poor design) from factory IMHO. So far after over 2 years living in the RV I have replaced the AC, waterheater, ( it got a pinhole leak at the tank welds), and converter. But you get what you pay for.
