Is there a way to tell how full the grey and black tanks are? Gauges anywhere? Fresh water is easy since it is located under the bench and somewhat transparent. My parents' TT had a button which showed how full the ranks were as well as battery meter.

No gauges Im afraid I guess when the dirty water backs up in the sink or toilet you will know its full. Another reason I went with purchasing a portable waste/water tank. Now you can get a portable waste/water tank that has a capacity gauge but their on the larger portable tanks.
For those who might be considering buying a portable waste tank heres a tip:
Just remember to not leave the valve to dump the portable tank open while camping untill you need to dump your toilet or grey water in your trailer. One mistake of leaving the trailer valve open to the portable tank until the portable tank is full is : the hose will fill up too and what are you gonna do then?

Way to tell, the tub will start to fill with water from the drain when the grey is full, the black is full when you see water inside the lower section of the toilet (below the blade valve of the toilet) I usually go 2 to 3 days between emptying the tanks when away from a sewer hookup. Definately do not leave the black valve open when hooked up to a sewer connection, you don't want the liquid to run out and leave the solid wastes in the tank and create more problems down the road.
My 19BH has the electrodes installed in the fresh water tank but nothing to monitor it with, I'm thinking of relocating the fresh water pump switch and getting the tank monitor / pump switch combo to use instead. Downfall is I have to pull the tanks to install the wiring and probes to monitor the grey and black tanks.

LOL! Yes, sportman Matt. We figured that out with our Scamp! It filled right up:). A monitor would be nice though. Is there an after purchase that can be installed? A float of some sort?

Good question. How do you tell and how often would you say the tanks fill up with one person using it? I'm completely new to this and would like to avoid any potentially messy instances.

After using it a few times, I've gotten used to the whole system. The grey water is full when the water comes up into the bathtub. The black water tank can be seen looking into the hole of the toilet during a flush. While filling the fresh water tank, you can hear when it's full (less echo in the tank) and you can see how empty it is just by lifting the bench and looking thorugh the semi-transparent walls of the tank.

Thanks Lynne. I'm hoping to find a gauge system for mine, but being that the 14RB is so small it might not be worth it.

I've heard from many that the tank gauges are often wrong, especially the black water tank since they tend to get TP and crud stuck to it. I think my method is pretty foolproof, though it doesn't offer a lot of time – when it's full, it's full
