Hello!
Hope everyone will be or are having a good 4th weekend.
I'm noticing white paint flaking off of the aluminum skin on our 14RK (Sept., 2009 vintage). I have a call into Matt at KZ-RV, Customer Service, to find out if there is touch-up paint available for the Sportsmen Classic TTs. I'll keep everyone posted.
Also, have dreamed up inexpensive mount for Thetford 2-wheel Tote 18 gallon, to be mounted to front tonge in front of battery case. Still need use of drill press for my particuliar situation. I'll keep everyone posted on this, too.

What do you think was the cause of the flaking John? flying rock chips? or is the paint just flaking off in unusual places?

Well that isn't good :( I haven't noticed anything on ours but we've only been out twice.
We decided the best place for our waste water tote was in the bed of the truck for now

We thought we had found the culprit, but were wrong……our Explorer doors are not nicking the side panel of the TT while parked next to it.
Spoke to Matt Deal at KZ-RV this morning. Matt believes that this is quite possibly a warranty issue and has requested photos be emailed to him. Good luck to me, as I have never attached anything to an email. I'm a bit fearful of this electronic photo thing, too.

PS: Still need touch-up paint.

Ive noticed that the top of the awning bracket when rolled up against the trailer, the bolt heads have chipped paint on the arms of the awning ..Im going to try and find some of that rubberized liquiid in white that you can dip your automotive tool handles in or find some sort of rubber caps to fit over the bolt heads. If you find that touch up paint John I sure could use some too.

I caught the Gremlin red-handed chipping the white paint off the side of our 14RK……it was me and my best friend……our car doors. Bought some white automotive touch-up white paint, that has turned out to be a bit too bright. Matt Deal of KZ-RV has suggested that Foremost Fabricators of Goshen, IN might be able to provide the correct tint. I'll let you know how this all turns out.
