Happy New Year fellow SPORTSMAN owners. When we bought our 16bh last year we figured we would save some money and not get the roll out awning. I kind of thought it was sorta small at 10 feet wide . I happened to find a vinyl pole awning from a discarded pop-up and we used that all last summer, worked ok but a pain in the but to put up and take down. Now we are looking at buying a roll out and I will install it myself , leaning towards a 12-14 foot one. I was just wondering if anyone has installed one on their SPORTSMAN and what brand and size did you use. I see that Carefree has a no frills , lower cost roll out for around 600 bucks. I now regret not getting it with the trailer, oh well. Thanks for any input you have.Mitch.

We have the factory installed 10' on our 16BH and have found it to be plenty of room for the two of us, even with our 2 camping chairs and a couple of 30×30 inch camp tables. I don't know that you could really go as big as 14' but might could work a 12' on the side. Remember that the side is not square and I think the 16' is at the longest point.

Yeah, I went out side today and measured , the longest I can have is 12 feet. The RV show is coming to Chicago in February so I think we will go to see if we can pick something up on the cheap. We bought the trailer bare bones but I believe we should have popped for the awning, and possible a two burner cook top. Mitch.
