Care to share your favorite helpful camping websites? A few of my submissions:
- Sanidumps.com – lists RV dump station sites and associated around the US and other countries. Only as good as the information given by those that submit updates, however.
- Public Lands Information Center – lists all public campgrounds (BLM, Forest Service, etc.) in the western half of the US.
- RoadsideAmerica.com – quirky and sometimes weird tourist attractions to see along the way.
- US Forest Service – search for campgrounds by state or national forest.
- US National Forest Campgorund Guide – a review of forest service campgrounds (excludes smaller campgrounds though).
- National Traffic and Road Closure Information – links to each states' road info. Somewhat related – does everybody know about dialing "511″ from cell phones to get road (and sometimes weather) info for their state?
- egpSoft.com – makes those cute little visited states maps for free.
- RV.net – another potentially useful RV/camping forum (not nearly as good as this one in my humble opinion! )
Your suggestions? Thanks!
Stephen

Found another cool site today if you're interested in modifications/additions to your trailer: http://www.modmyrv.com/ Check out the forum in addition to the featured main pics. There's a lot of neat ideas to work on over the winter camping break
Speaking of mods, I got around to making a step stool, which we really could have used while camping at Glacier a few weeks back. I found this at Harbor Freight, but as-is was a little high. I ended up taking off the plastic feet, cutting the legs about 4″ (right at the level of the braces) to reduce its height. After bolting things back together, the final result is here. It's stable, light, and doesn't take up too much room since it folds up.
I also made a pretty spiffy adapter to blow out the water lines of the trailer. I've seen similar ones like this from Camco, but I wanted something I could use for other applications and have a valve. Final result is here.
Happy winterizing!

Good info. Plan to use the sewer hose storage idea I found on "modmyrv" site. Thanks
