This site is really getting stagnant.
Seems like there are only a handful of posters and a hundred readers.
If we want this site to be informative / helpful and enjoyable, more members need to start sharing!
If just committed to posting something worth sharing once a month, this site could become what it should be…a "go to" site for Sportsman owners to share related experiences, helping others to get the most out of RV'ng.
So get on and post. When some-one's got a question…answer them, share your mods, solved problems and good times.
Looking forward to enriching my experiances from yours.

Thanks for the push, Mike & Diana! I'll bite, and maybe start some discussions?
- I installed a water accumulator tank in my 14RB a few days ago. The idea is that it creates a buffer for water hammer (making the system less noisy) and an added bonus is the pump doesn't run as often for quick uses of water. The price ended up being quite a bit cheaper online than any local RV dealer. Installation was very easy after getting $15 worth of parts from the local hardware store. I haven't used it much yet, but the improvement doesn't seem as miraculous as I'd hoped as far as making the pump quieter, but it is better.
- Another minor improvment I did was to add metal valve stems to the tires. If I'd been thinking I would have done the same to the spare as well, but I didn't think about it at the time. Kudos to the local Les Schwab for installing the valve stems at no charge! The rubber valve stems are a weak spot since they can rot and leak before the tire goes bad.
- I hadn't serviced the bearings since I got my trailer a year and a half ago, so I did that the other day. I had never done the process before, but it wasn't difficult or expensive. It was a little messy however. Here's a link for a kit that has all the parts for a 2010 14RB, and it also lists the part numbers. I didn't need to replace the bearings or races, only the seals after cleaning and regreasing the bearings. I was a little surprised the the local NAPA couldn't help with any of the parts. I ended up going to Brown Bearing in Spokane and they were super helpful.
- Also inspected the roof, and added Dicor where needed. I'd like to use Eternabond on the whole thing, but I'm not sure how to use it at the edge of the roof where there's a metal rail that's meant to hold a vinyl strip.
- I'm taking off this evening to camp near Elk City, Idaho, after working the holiday weekend. Hopefully the crowds will be gone, and the water spigots will still be turned on?
Who's next?

I had pretty much packed it in here after the last several posts I made went by without any acknowledgement. As you mentioned, there are probably hundreds of legitimate members in this forum, but where are they? It's true that we need to interact with each other if this site is to stay alive. I usually try to include pictures with my posts, but when you get no feedback it's like the effort went into a black hole. I'll take up your challenge as well and see if we can get this place running again. Why just today I fixed my sqeaky door. Sometime this week I'll post a how-to on that.

Sorry folks but we have been extremely busy this summer! Between our jobs, yard and gardens there is not much left for posting at the end of the day. I will say though that i have several drafts on my laptop that i am anxious to share of our mods, and campground reviews (even one in your neck of the woods, sort of anyway…llano river which was beautiful) Hopefully now that you have thown down the gauntlet I will make some time to share.

I apologize for being absent for a few months again. School got in the way of everything. But I graduated in July. I'm starting to get my life back in a groove. And it's getting to be time to think about camping again. I admit that in Texas, we tend to think of camping season opposite of most of the country. Summer is when we hibernate in the a/c.
One of the mods I did to my 16BH is upgrade to a slightly higher BTU A/C. My house A/C went out in June and I was glad to have the trailer in my driveway. We had no A/C for 5 days so I used the trailer for studying and for sleeping a couple of nights (although those middle of the night bathroom runs were a little longer - I didn't have water to the trailer).
And I didn't think of it, but I should have had the trailer in for the axle flip. That is still something I want to do to mine. I did have a time at Pedernales Falls State Park because the site it had a dip where the site drive met the road and I drug bottom backing in. The park host helped me out when it got to be time to leave with some boards that we spanned the dip with.

Hey sandersmr…Just wanted to mention that I did the axle flip after my first trip with my 2011 19 SBT since the clearance seemed so minimal and I was reading on this forum about people bottoming out and doing damage. I have had no issues since doing the flip and it has not changed how the trailer tows at all. The door step is a bit higher but not really a problem. I just went on a 4000km trip and there were numerous times that I think if I hadn't done the flip I would have had issues with ground clearance ( mainly pulling into gas stations and going over speed bumps ). The cost is minimal and I really feel it was the most important mod that I did to the trailer yet…worth every penny to me as it just gives me less to worry about while driving and it's a one time thing. I would recommend it to anyone with a classic. Good luck camping…safe travels.

I can relate. During the summer we camp on the Gulf or head north. The weather is starting to break now. Heading to Fredricksburg for Oktoberfest in a few weeks.
