Hi all…
We saw a 14RB Sunday at the RV show in Indianapolis and was quite impressed with the "bang for the buck". We currently have a T@B and are considering getting something with a potty/shower combo. One thing we noticed with the tub in the Sportsmen is that there is no kind of tile on the wall around the tub. This concerns us a little! For those of you who currently own one, is the material on the walls around the tub the same material on the walls throughout the rest of the trailer? Thanks for any info!

I ask the KZ factory about this, here was there reply.
Tom,
Thank you for taking the time to send us your email. Your time is appreciated. The material around the tub is the same material used throughout the rest of the coach. Although the material can get wet, ultimately it will be the owner’s responsibility to ensure the walls are wiped down diligently to prevent water damage. This type of bath/shower enclosure is common among "price point" travel trailers.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns.
Best regards,
Christina Remble

That's interesting Tom. Thank you.
We're probably going to the SeattleRV show tomorrow & I hope that the dealers there have some KZ units on display. I wonder how difficult it may be to attach some plastic sheets (sort of like a tub surround) to the walls around the shower?

I was actually thinking of using some sort of clear spray-on waterproof sealant. I remember seeing some on-line, I think it is used on boats.

As an aftermarket option, I was looking at a Lyons Shower Surround to fit in my shower, but first I need to get the final dimensions to order it and I know that I will need to trim the enclosure due to the rear corner having a radius from the roof to the back wall. If I can make it work I'll put up pictures and instructions in the Modifications section.

Did you ever find and have the spray on sealant applied to your bathroom? How much was it, and was it difficult?
Thanks

I ran into a snag with the 19BH. The rear wall curves down from the roof in the back, then part way down tapers back in towards the tub. So the front wall is flat, the side wall is flat with a curve on one corner for the roof radius and angled on the same trailing edge part way down, and the rear wall is going to probably have to be a 2 piece design due to the way the rear wall angles inward.
Still toying with ideas, maybe I'll take a trip to Lowes later this month to see if they have anything available that I can utilize.
I haven't tried the spray adhesive in that large an area, thinking maybe trying Liquid nails and bracing the panels in with 2×4's overnight to get it to cure in place, then sealing with some Geocel White.

What about something like http://www.idealtruevalue.com/…..992/Detail instead? It's made for in/out uses and seems like it would do the trick at sealing the walls against water.

Looked at that, but I would rather have something a little more smoother than poly over the existing paneling.
Stopping at Home Depot and Lowes tomorrow afternoon to look at what they have for enclosures maybe I can get something to cover all 3 walls with the curves and angles.
