Well after discovering that the AC was indeed leaking under the counter top, we attempted to contact the manufacturer because we were a bit hesitant about allowing the dealer to totally tear out half the camper to fix the counter top only to still have a leaky AC… KZ was awful to deal with… initially suggested WE bring the camper to them… some 450 miles, or just to use it all summer and they would pick it up this winter… their take was that this was NO BIG DEAL! Im pretty sure having this type of problem all summer would have ruined the camper totally… They were very rude and very unwilling to help us at all. Thankfully our dealer allowed us to bring the unit back. We upgraded to a forest river cruise lite….. cost a bit more but at least I won't ever have to deal with KZ again!!!!

Yeah but that doesn't say that Forest River wouldn't do the same if you reported the same problem.

When I dealt with KZ on a warrenty matter they were pleasant and very willing to help. Im sorry you had a bad experience. Im curious though on how exactly you wanted KZ to respond in regards to fixing your repair, surely your dealer was willing to fix the problem. Its not fun to have your camper you just bought held up in service ( I know from experience) however things happen with all manufacturers, thats what warrenty service is for. Hope you have many enjoyable camping experiences with your forest river and thanks for participating on our forum.

Sounds like a "letter of disapointment" to the "KZ-RV higher-ups" is in order. Who did you speak with at KZ? Perhaps, KZ-RV would have been willing to pay your round-trip travel expense…..what did they say to that suggestion, as they would also pick up your unit the following winter, to refurbish / replace under warranty?
This is sure opposite of how my claims / questions / concerns have been handled by KZ-RV Customer Service and Engineering Depts.
