Hi, we purchased our 14RB from Larry's Camper Sales in Zeigler, IL the end of last Sept. after much shopping and phone calls to Casita and Skamp, etc. Since then we have camped with it 4 long weekends and we are very satisfied. What we have done is put dinette table down in bed position, tried sleeping on the cushions, no good for us but I have back trouble also. After trial and error we purchased from Overstocks a 8 inch 3 layer foam mattress. It is superb for our use. The bed is set up permanently but that is ok as we eat outdoors mostly, but if inclement weather we have a tv tray stored under the bed so that one of us can sit on bed and other on gaucho and that works fine for us. We don't use the shower as such as the campgrounds we use have showers. If we had to use it, we would use some sense and wipe it down after we finished. We find if we fill water tank and hot water heater when we arrive we can make it the whole period and we dump on the way out. We just conserve water anyhow. The only complaint we had with the whole deal was we did not get a manual for the trailer even though we got manuals or books for appliances etc. But a couple of weeks ago KZ or Larry's sent us a manual. Guess it was so new of a camper that it took awhile to catch up to the manual. Personally we looked at the trailer on a Friday and bought it the next day. However we knew what we were looking for and we had looked lots. Workmanship is fine as all doors and cabinets close and open without any trouble. Love all the storage for such a small camper but you still need to be mindful of weight. There is more storage than we actually use. You have to figure that this is a light weight camper with a low gross vehicle weight. We pull it with a 3 liter automatic Ford Ranger pickup. We haul our firewood in the back of the truck having previously had Holiday Rambler 24 foot and a Streamlite which both were pulled by a bigger truck. Smaller and simplier is good for us. The refrigerator is the best we have ever had. Stuff stays cold not just almost cold. Kudos to KZ – we love our trailer and sure is reasonably priced. Complete with awning and spare tire.

Thank you! ur post was very helpful as I also have a Ford Ranger 3L automatic. Mine is the 4 dr extended cab.. It has what I guess is a bumper hitch and a tow harness but I am assuming it best to have a frame hitch added. Did you have anything added? My brother said something about a tranny cooler. He tows a huge 5th wheel with a dooly.
I figure I would pretty much use it like a tent, eating and sitting alot outdoors. I had pretty much made up my mind on the 14RB, I have a fantastic Serta air mattress that I have used on the ground that I figured I'll use on the dinette. Now I'm wondering if I should go ahead and get the 16BH. I am single but have young grandsons and once in awhile a friend or 2 of mine might tag along. I think I'll go back and look at those bunks. I'm fairly confused on what to do now. I love the little 14RB but maybe I should go for the 16. I may even decide to sleep in the bunk and leave the dinette as a table. I guess I should look into weight diff and all that.
Did you get the electric fridge and hotplate or the gas burner w/3 way fridge?

Hi – In reply to your post, yes we did add a hitch to our Ranger. Also added a 6-1 receptable wiring harness and a brake controller as our truck had no towing package. We bought the 14 RB Classic which came with gas stove and 3 way fridge. We seldom use gas stove but the fridge is worth the extra that you pay for the 14 RB versus the 14 RK in my opinion. This gave us the option to camp at non-electric sites if we don't need air conditioning. I think the 16 foot has tandem wheels and I think that might cause weight problems. We paid $7995 for our trailer last fall, the end of Sept. I don't know if prices have increased or not. The 14 RK was $1000 cheaper. They had one of each but for our use we chose the 14 RB because of bathroom, water heater, gas stove and 3-way fridge. We have had 3 campers before and it is the best fridge we have ever had. Hope this answers some of your questions.
