Apparently not much
The end of the camping season is here for us. Frost has been around the last few mornings, and I've even had to scrape my windshield (ewww). I did get the winterizing done for the year on the trailer this week. I'm a big proponent of the blow-out method for the water lines. I only had to use a few cups of the antifreeze for the bath and sink traps, as well as the toilet bowl. One reminder for all: be sure to check out the roof for potential leaks, at least twice a year! Dicor isn't expensive, and it doesn't take much time. Cleaning up after a leak has occured is absolutely awful!

Sorry theres been so little activity here, dont know where everyone went to..I try and keep an eye out almost daily on the forum here. I've been camping a few times in my classic 14rk, still want to go a couple more times before it gets too cold. I noticed my tub has a crack in it, not sure how im gonna fix that. I would like to move up to a bigger sportsmen like the 241rks since I now have the bigger truck but finances are tight so my little rk will have to suffice for now. This summer I attended a rv show in my area and there were several small sportsmen classics on display, I was surprized to see how the prices have gone up. I do go on the other kz owners forum from time to time but there is very little activity in their forum as well…especially in the classic section, so not sure where all the classic owners are anymore. I hate to see this forum die because of no activity, its not like our little trailers arent being made anymore. Hopefully we can stay alive here.

New member here. Have a 14 footer. Love it. Only been able to use it 3 times this season. I will be winterizing mine tomorrow. Last weekend I installed a water heater by-pass kit, but ran out of time to complete the winterizing. That pex pipe is really tough. KZ used pex to connect the water pump to the fresh water tank. I had to cut the pex since I could not remove the clamps connecting the pex pipe to the fittings. Anyway, I plan to make a flexible pipe manifold to connect the pump back to the fresh water tank with a "T" and shut-off valve that will allow adding antifreeze to the water pipe system. Once my piping project is complete, it will be easy to go camping down south this winter and re-winterize upon return.

Well whadyaknow! I tried to access this website a few days ago and got some sort of server error. I figured for sure the forum had met its end from lack of input/volume. Glad to see it's still here (for now!).
Wish I had something fun to report. Our first big trip will be in a few weeks. Plan is to take the N Cascases Hwy (WA 20) to Deming for a Logger Days weekend (neat small town thing, I hope-old guys, cold beer, power tools-what could go wrong?!?), visit Mt.Baker, head west to Friday Harbor see some friends, then come back on Hwy 2 to take in a bluegrass music festival in Cashmere, WA (home of Aplets and Cotlets, BTW). Anyone else have good trips planned?

I've been camping a couple times this year and plan to go again next week just for the weekend. I have a dog I have to kennel now each time I camp so it gets expensive to camp as much as I would like. A friend of mine juist sold their 14ft amerilite and had just gotten a custom made mattress for it, so before they sold it they gave me the mattress for free..I was thrilled because the cushions of the dinette plus a foam pad were beginning to be very uncomfortable to sleep on.(.I keep the dinette made as a bed perm) I will be trying out the mattress next weekend, cant wait. I really wish I could afford a bigger trailer but just cant swing it financially yet. Usually I am the smallest trailer with my 14rk in the campground. Occassionally I will see another sportsmen classic but its rare . I am not sure where all the sportsmen classic owners are, I know their out there, just not here. I think I will have to do some work on my water heater because its not staying lit and very hard to get lit. Might be the thermostat? I will have to do some investigation online. Thanks for trying to keep this forum alive.

hanging around and still check this site everyday however not much to report. we have been too busy cleaning and remodeling "this old house" to go camping. right now we have 3 yards to mow (his, hers, and ours) and working a plan to downsize our way to early retirement. this involves selling two houses then tearing down an old home and building a retirement home base with the cash equitys on the acreage. in other words, bit off more than i could chew again… we may try to live in the sportsmen while the house is being built onsite so we can watch the progress and worry the workers.
ps, anyone want to buy a house or two in tennessee?

00PS! Sorry, new to the Club and still learning how to post.
We are still learning all about our new 14RB. Spent a week at the coast a few weeks back, and everything worked just fine except the heat coming from the fridge. I'm going to see if I can help it by doing what pfidahospud did to his, and add some insulation everywhere I can.
This heat gets to me worse every year, and right now I'm only working outside until about noon or 1 oclock. Probably old age.
I really want to put some bug screens on my fridge, furnace, water heater, and the 2 roof vents before the critters move in.
We had the dealer install fantastic fans in both vents before we picked it up and they really move the air. Will try and post some pictures as soon as time permits.
Thanks everyone for all your input and most valuable info. bobbyv
